How to HOST Amazing “Grace”: Affiliate Participant
Amazing “Grace” is an annual fundraiser that combines the efforts of Mammograms In Action working in conjunction with CrossFit affiliates worldwide to raise money and awareness for the fight against breast cancer. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Mammograms In Action, a non-profit organization located in Southern California.
Last year, the Amazing “Grace” fundraiser included participation from over 400 CrossFit Affiliates and 5,000 participants across 5 countries and successfully raised over $300,000!
If you are a CrossFit affiliate and are interested in hosting a 2011 Amazing Grace event at your box, please follow the easy step by step process below:
Step 1: Register Your Affiliate
- Sign up to host Amazing Grace by registering your affiliate HERE. There is no cost to sign up your gym, but you must be a certified CrossFit affiliate to host an event.
- Select a date between October 1st – 31st for your event and determine your fundraising goal
- If you’d rather join forces with another affiliate or attend a PINK BRA TOUR event, check out the events in your area and share it with your athletes
Step 2: Register Athlete Participants
- Your affiliate will receive a personal web page to use to communicate all of your event details, register athlete participants and collect donations for MIA in support of your team.
- Participation can be done at any level of expertise and scale
- All registrations will be collected under the host affiliate’s event page.
- A limited amount of T-shirts have been generously provided by Reebok on a first-come, first-serve basis but are not guaranteed with athlete registration. We appreciate their donation and if we have shirts available at the time of the participant’s registration we will be happy mail one to their address as provided online.

- We have provided a variety of promotional materials for you to customize, print and share with your members and the community. Click here for all of the available downloads and online tools for your event.
- Share your host affiliate registration page with all of your members as well as other CF affiliated in your area. Encourage them to join you and your team by registering and even inspire some friendly competition.
- Send an email with your event page link to friends and family to support the cause and donate on your behalf whether they are near or far.
- Create a Facebook event page for your event and share it with your members, then encourage them to share it with their FB friends…you might be surprised at the power of social media!
- Update your website, blog, FB page with an Amazing Grace web banner
Step 4: Event Logistics
- Structure the event in a way that you deem appropriate for your group of participants and spectators, but still follow the Rules of Grace
- Conduct multiple heats or waves of athletes to accommodate size/space restraints
- Make the event fun for spectators too by considering raffles, silent auction, music, food and beverage donations
- Any donations collected on-site at your event (including additional cash donations, raffle/auction sales, food beverage proceeds) can be tracked using this Donation Tracking Form and submitted to Mammograms In Action following your event.
Step 5: Post Event
- Be sure to submit your final collection of donations to Mammograms In Action HQ no later than November 9th. We will announce the top 3 hosting gyms on November 16th.
- Send a genuine THANK YOU to all of your volunteers, sponsors, participants and community for their support of your event. And share with them the positive impact they are making in the lives of women and men who need screening and/or diagnostic procedures in the prevention of breast cancer.
The Pink Bra Tour
The Pink Bra Tour is more than just a fundraiser, it’s a collective of athletes embarking on a journey across the country with one purpose: to join forces with the community and raise awareness of breast cancer and proactive healthcare.
