What is the Amazing “Grace” fundraiser?

Amazing “Grace” is an annual fundraiser that combines the efforts of Mammograms In Action working in conjunction with CrossFit affiliates worldwide to raise money and awareness for the fight against breast cancer. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Mammograms In Action, a non-profit organization located in Southern California.

Is there a specific date to host Amazing “Grace”?

No. You may host your event and be in the run to raise the most funds from October 1st to October 31st. All Donations must be turned in to our HQ’s no later than November 9th. We will announce the top 3 hosting gyms on November 16th.

Does our affiliate have to host to participate?

No. Your affiliate is more than welcome to join forces with another affiliate to participate. All registrations and donations must go under the hosting gyms page.

How much is the participation fee?

Participation fee is $35. This will include a spot in your hosting gyms Amazing Grace event and an event t-shirt while supplies last.

Do you have to participate to get a shirt?

Yes, the shirts are official 2011 Amazing Grace shirts. They are for athletes that participate in the event. We do have a limited amount of shirts, so please register early.

Will I pick up my shirt at the event?

No. All registered participants will receive their shirt to their shipping address within 72 hours of registering.

Where does the money that our community fundraises go?

Amazing “Grace” benefits Mammograms In Action. MIA’s mission is to raise awareness of breast cancer by providing funding for the initial consultation, screening, diagnostics and access to treatment for all women and men regardless of their age or ability to pay.

Can we choose our own charity to donate to?

No. All donations from the 2011 Amazing Grace are donated to Mammograms In Action.

Do we have to be a CrossFit Affiliate to host Amazing “Grace”?

Yes, all hosts must be a certified CrossFit Affiliate. If you are not, please join a CrossFit Affiliate that is hosting in your community.

Who produces Amazing “Grace”?

Mammograms In Action, a 501c3 non-profit produces all Barbells For Boobs and B4B fundraising events. For more information please visit www.mammogramsinaction.org

Are donations to the 2011 Amazing “Grace” tax deductible?

Yes! Mammograms In Action is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Our tax id # is 27-2027629, 100% of all donations are tax deductible.

Can our Affiliate create our own Amazing Grace t-shirt?

We appreciate the support and creativity of your affiliate! The Barbells for Boobs Amazing Grace name and likeness are only available to be used and customized on products designed by our organization or contracted partners (such as Reebok for this year’s events). If you’re interested in supporting additional fundraising by selling custom apparel thru your local affiliate we ask that it does not include our logo, headlines or organization name.
